Gareth Gregg BDS (Sheff)

Gareth is the owner of Welcome Bay Dental Care and the sole dentist in the practice. After graduating from the highly regarded Charles Clifford Dental School in Sheffield in 1995, he worked in Buxton in the Derbyshire area of England. In 1998 he visited New Zealand and decided to make this country his home. After briefly working in Waihi and Paeroa Gareth moved to Tauranga and in 2003 established Welcome Bay Dental Care. He is proud of the practice that he and the team have created making sure the focus of the team is to produce high quality dentistry that lasts. Gareth is passionate about creating beautiful smiles. He is happy to explain your dental options and discuss which ones are appropriate to your individual case.

Mitchell Harkness BOH (Otago)

Mitch joined the WBDC team in January 2017 having recently graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Health, after four years studying in Dunedin he is very pleased to be back home in Tauranga. 
As a dual qualified Dental Therapist/ Hygienist Mitch will be  looking after our adolescent patients taking care of their oral health needs and performing any necessary restorative treatments. Mitch will also see adult patients for their hygiene appointments and will work along with Gareth to help those patients take a preventative approach to their oral health.
Mitch is passionate about taking care of our patients and helping them regain their beautiful smiles and fresh breath. In his experience a clean mouth can restore patients’ confidence and self esteem. You can also talk to Mitch about tooth whitening to brighten up your smile.

Aleisha Grimmer

Aleisha has been Gareth’s dental surgery assistant since 2008. She is invaluable in her role supporting and organizing Gareth, and making sure he doesn’t spend too much time talking about land rovers when he should be working. If you are nervous about visiting a dentist then Aleisha will make you feel better with a warm welcoming smile. Having assisted Gareth for five years, Aleisha can discuss your dental treatment with you should you have any questions or concerns. She would rather you ask then be uncertain about any part of your treatment plan.

Bekki Monger

Originally from England Bekki joined WBDC in 2016 and assists Mitch when treating the college aged students. With a family of her own she can help make your child feel comfortable and at ease in the surgery. Mitch and Bekki work together to make sure your children’s oral health care needs are identified, understood and most importantly treated.

Sara Gregg

Sara is Welcome Bay Dental Cares practice manager, with a background in accounting she makes sure everything runs smoothly. She is happy to talk to you if you have any queries about your recommended treatment and about the best way to put your plan into action.

Shelley Graham

Shelley is receptionist here at WBDC having joined the team in 2016.  When you phone WBDC chances are you will speak to Shelley and she is happy to help find an appointment to suit your dental needs. Feel free to ask Shelley any questions regarding your appointment, if she can’t answer them straight away she will find an answer and get back to you.
